Usage of Data Models ( XML Files ) in SuccessFactors

 HI All, 

Please find the below article on the Data Models ( XML- Files ).Data models are used to set up as per the company's requirements. We can define how a company's organizational structure is reflected in the system and what entries a user can make to set up company, person, and employment data. We can add customer-specific fields and rename fields with the customer specific Labels.

    - corporate address (corporateAddress)

  2 Pay related Objects
   - Pay Range
   - Pay Grade
   - Pay Component
   - Pay Component Group
   -   Frequency

 3 Workflow
   - Workflow (wfConfig)
   - wfConfigStep
   -   wfStepApprover
   -   Contributor Type (wfConfigContributor)
   -   CC Role Type (wfConfigCC)


 4     Dynamic Role Assignment
   -   Dynamic Role (dynamicRole)
   -   Dynamic Role Assignment (dynamicRoleAssignment)

Country Specific Corporate  Data Model
  • This Data Model ( XML ) File helps to set up the foundation Object fields for a Specific country 
  • Example : Corporate Office Address format for USA country

Succession Data Model
  • This Data Model(XML File) helps to configure the fields that appear on the Employee's Personal and Employment information

  • This Data Model(XML File) helps to keep the international standards 
               -Address format
               -National ID
  • Through this Data model we can configure country specific fields that appear on the Employees' Personal and Employment information

HRIS Propagation
  • This Data Model (XML File) helps to auto populate the data from Foundation Tables into the Employee's Record.
         Example : If a user selects a Location in the Job Information and the Default Time Zone will be populated which is linked to the Location Object
  • This Data Models Helps to reduce the amount of data the user has to enter manually, and it improves the consistency of data.
