Check Tool - Feature in SuccessFactors



Check Tool - Feature in SuccessFactors

Check Tool is a new feature which is introduced by successFactors mainly to check the data and configuration inconsistencies
RBP - Enable
We have to enable the permission through RBP for the administrators. Refer the below screenshot for the same
Note: This option need to enable in administrator permissions only.






Once the permission is enabled, we can check the data or configurations Inconsistency by following path.
Admin centre – > Company settings –> Check Tool 


Once click the “Check Tool “, we will get the below screen for further selection.


We can select one of the sub modules in drop down list (Ex: EC – Core, Time off & Position Management)

Example: Position Management



We can check the result for the detailed information.


Results :
The result can be any of these:
Success: No issues found.
Warning: One or more issues found, but they are not too serious.
 Error: One or more serious issues found. Action is required

Events in SuccessFactors



What are events :-

Events are the sequences of actions  that span the various stages of an employee’s life cycle from hire to rehire in the organisation . In SuccessFactors, Events ( Actions)  are pre - delivered by SAP SuccessFactors; We can’t create new events or change existing ones, except for their labels.

Variable Pay integration is a two way process as mentioned below 
1) SAP HCM to SuccessFactors Variable Pay
2) SuccessFactors Variable to SAP HCM


Variable Pay – Process Flow






Employee History (Employee Historical data with validity) is transmitted to Variable Pay Staging area

Variable Pay is further processed in SuccessFactors . This process will involve launching the sheets to the planner’s .Once the variable pay is finalized, it is transferred to SAP ERP HCM





Pre – requisites

  



Roles in SAP HCM:

SAP_HR_SFI_VARIABLE_PAY   - This role will help to run the below transaction codes

Transaction Codes in SAP HCM :

HRSFI_VARPAY_DATA – Extract of Variable Pay data from SAP ERP to SuccessFactors

HRSFI_VP_CLN_REPL – Clean Up Internal Tables after Exporting Variable Pay Data  

HRSFI_VP_METADATA - Import Meta data from SuccessFactors Variable Pay

HRSFI_VP_CLN_IMP - Clean up Internal Tables after Importing and activating variable Pay Data

SuccessFactors – Provisioning – Company Settings

Variable Pay module need to be enabled

Adhoc Report Builder - Variable Pay Bonus Detail, Variable Pay Bonus Payout

Compensation integration is a two way process as mentioned below

1 ) SAP HCM to SuccessFactors Compensation
2) SuccessFactors Compensation to SAP HCM


We can transfer Compensation data from SAP HCM to Successfactors to support compensation planning in SuccessFactors . Once the compensation planning is completed in successFactors the new / revised salary details will be updated to SAP HCM with the respective infotypes ( 0008 & 0015)
